On 18/04/26, we proudly launched the Active 2gether project alongside Councillor Asma Suleman, Caroline Roche from Watford Borough Council and Apex. This is providing free indoor and outdoor activities for the community.
What an incredible start it has been!
Massive thank you to Councillor who fund raised £1000 and gave the funds to Thrive Youth CIC to purchase the sporting equipment required for this project and to pay for DBS for volunteers from West Herts College .
Seeing children playing tennis without nets at the King George V Playing Fields reinforced Councillor Asma’s commitment to introducing net sports at the site, ensuring they have better opportunities for active play.
Boosting CVs & Career Skills
We are incredibly proud that this project is creating opportunities for students from West Herts College. By funding their DBS checks and supporting them as volunteers, we are helping them gain:
• Real-world work experience to stand out to employers
• Valuable CV-building opportunities within their own community
• Mentorship roles where they can inspire the next generation
ONLY 10 SPOTS REMAINING!
The response has been amazing
Out of 40 spaces, 30 are already filled! If you would like your child to take part, don’t wait too long.
